Travel Vibes: Toronto

I recently traveled to Toronto for work and extended my stay to hang out with family. I always have a great time in Toronto, I haven’t been there in a few years and this trip was a perfect balance of fun and work.

Getting to see my family is always great. I think they rolled out the red carpet of fun for the weekend (if you’re not following me on Snap Chat, you should: StyleandVibes. You would have gotten an up close and personal view of my weekend shenanigans!)

We went to 90s themed party, they play Reggae, Soca and Hip-hop from the 90s…I was pretty much in my musical heaven. I also went to another low-key reggae spot.

I saw my first Cirque du Soleil show (Luzia, which was Mexican themed.) I really enjoy it, it was like an adult circus with amazing acrobatics. The detailed, elaborate set design and lighting were so impressive. I didn’t realize that all of the Cirque shows each have their own themes. Unlike the traditional circus, you can see a different show and experience something completely different. It was an new experience that I look forward to seeing again.

Sundays are made for brunch and relaxation! My cousins and I went brunch at Hot House. They had the best buffet brunch with breakfast, lunch, desserts and of course mimosas. We enjoyed our meal, had great conversation and they weren’t rushing us to turn the tables, which was nice. All the food options were delicious. Hot House is honestly the best buffet brunch I’ve ever had. I most definitely recommend if you’re visiting Toronto.

We ended our girls day outing at the spa! We made our way to the Elmwood Spa for an afternoon of facials and massages. We got there early to relax and enjoy the spa pool (well more like just sit next to the pool.)

After all that fun, I went into work for a few days. I was a great way to balance fun and work.
