I had the pleasure of finally visiting black owned beauty store Vivrant Beauty in Harlem thanks to the ladies of Face Flawless Skin! Face Flawless Skin is a beauty event collaboration with beauty bloggers Felicia Walker Benson & Christene Carr (This, That Beauty) and Danielle Gray, (The Style & Beauty Doctor) aimed at to providing women with the right information, techniques, and products to achieve the best skin possible.
The Face Flawless Skin clinic held in the fall was an awesome event which was a formal beauty panel and clinic with brand and beauty experts discussing skincare for women of color touching on issues like color correction, day and night regimens and when to use specific products. This informal gathering, Face Flawless Skin Skincare Reboot at Vivrant Beauty in Harlem was the perfect follow up! The lovely hosts chatted it up with the guests and gave recommendations of products for skin and hair.
The beauty store is owned by Desiree Verdejo in 2015, and is catered specifically to women of color. Products ranging from hair to beauty in a chic space was so refreshing! It’s a welcomed change from having just a section in part of and aisle or like a lot of beauty stores that just have products on top of each other and no kind of customer service…and no one watching you over your shoulder. Desiree and her staff were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the products. Here’s the best part; can’t get to the shop in Harlem, you can order online!
