EVENT: Visions Unite’s Circle of Succes

August 28, 2014 by Mikelah Leave a Comment

Visions Unite Circle of Success

Newly formed organization for entrepreneurs, Visions Unite recently held their first event. Based in my home town of Stamford, CT, it’s always great to see organization that value entrepreneurship in a supportive way. The group’s first event, Circle of Success, was an event that brought entrepreneurs together to help each other to drive success, promote unity and empower one another to grow. Co-creators and Stamford natives Latoya Williams, Anthony Harris and Alicia Murphy (picture above) had this to say about the vision for Circle of Success:

“The goal of the event was  to have individuals who were interested in starting a business or in the midst of their business start-up to network and get ideas from one another and possibly lead into a an opportunity for two small businesses to work together in the future. Entrepreneurs provided a special presentation, introducing their business to the community.”

The event had some great vendors and local businesses, many whom I’m familiar with. Stamford is a small town, so many I grew up with and some I know through friends; I’ve purchased their products and/or have used their services. I absolutely love to see young entrepreneurs progressing professionally.

Aleyshae’s Confections had some amazing treats including Ciroc Shot Chocolate Covered Strawberries (I got 3 of them) along with cupcakes, mini cakes and brownies.

My hairstylist, Co-owner of Vanity Studios, ShaQueen Valentine and co-owner Danelle Aune were there with their team promoting new services like her cosmetology academy for students who want to learn the trade professionally, nail technician and staples like their hair bar.

Co-owner of Rail Fly clothing, Lafayette Bryant featured graphic tees from the Rail Fly clothing line.

My bootcamp trainer Leighton Edwards owner of Body by Leighton recently launched a new footwear line as an extension of his fitness apparel line and fitness training services.

Other vendors included, Awesome Sauce Food Truck, POSH Beauty Bar, Body Tone by Tony Domond and others. It was a great event that brought people out to support these growing brands. Visions Unite’s Circle of Success is just the beginning, more events are planned for the future.
