Album Review: Buju Banton – Upside Down 2020

July 7, 2020 by Mikelah Leave a Comment

Buju Banton released his latest album Upside Down 2020 showcasing his versatility in Reggae, Dancehall fused with a few new sounds. Buju Banton has been recording since returning to Jamaica working on new music while previously touring in 2019. With COVID-19 turning the world upside down, the album is timely in terms of the context. Upside Down 2020 includes a number of songs that have been released over the last year like “Steppa,” “Trust,” and songs we’ve heard him perform like “Lamb of God,” and “Yes Mi Friend (featuring Stephan Marley.)” In this review of Upside Down 2020 I’m sharing my thoughts on the album, sharing what I liked, disliked and ideas for visuals.
