Just in time for the holidays! It might be a little early to be thinking about holiday gift giving, but this is a perfect gift for the little ones! Playwright and actress Marjuan Canady turned her play Callaloo: A Jazz Folktale into a children’s book! I went to the play while it was here in NYC and it was an amazing story. It’s a great way to pass down Caribbean culture to future generations. Check out the book trailer below (too cute) The book is written by Marjuan Canady and illustrated by Nabeeh Bilal. The book is available for pre-order for only $20 until November 18.
