I received my first VoxBox courtesy of Influenster to test out and review! It was the Mary Kay Look which included a Mary Kay Lash Primer, Lash Love Lengthening Mascara, Violet Storm Cream Eye Color, Rose Cherie Lipstick and Concealer Brush.
The Rose Cherie Lipstick was extremely smooth, the color wasn’t a great match for me by itself, but the texture was so great that I would definitely try a different shade. The moisturizing element made me want to try in a different color.
I’m not really a fan of creamy eye shadows, they tend to get sticky on my eyelids (even with primer) especially in the summer time. This was a great color and might pair well with another eyeshadow, so I’ll try again. (See colors against my skin below. Top – Violet Storm Eye Shadow | Bottom – Rose Cherie Lipstick)
The Lash Primer and Lash Love Lengthening Mascara were my favorites of the box; together they worked perfectly! I particularly loved the mascara because the brush was one of the best I’ve used (and we all know it’s all about the brush!) It did not clump on my lashes at all and truly gave length to each lash without over powering. This mascara is perfect for everyday use. I’ve been using it every day since I received the box.
The Concealer Brush (not pictured by itself) was a great bonus, it was really soft an made applying concealer quick.
Overall the Mary Kay Look box was a great reintroduction the brand. I haven’t used Mary Kay products in a long time (I used to live next door to a Mary Kay consultant years ago and she would always show me the catalogs of products.) The products are great quality and I would definitely purchase the lipstick in a different color as well as the mascara and primer.
