Beauty Review: Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy – Ultra Shea

February 26, 2013 by Mikelah 2 Comments

Since going natural I have experience major dry scalp. I wash it two or three times more that I used to when I had relaxed hair. I’ve tried various Shampoos and Conditioners at varying price points and nothing I’ve tried worked absolutely great with my scalp. My hair looks great but the dry itch has never quite gone away. Even shampoo and conditioner products with tea tree oil felt great during and right after the wash, but as the soothing/tingly sensation calms the dryness returns. It’s been even more difficult to find a product that works well for both scalp and hair. I decided to try the Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy – Ultra Shea system, for the price point it couldn’t hurt and if it didn’t work wouldn’t be too disappointed.

To my surprise, I absolutely love the Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Cleanse and Nourish shampoo and the smooth & nourish conditioner! Both have a creamy consistency which added moisture to my hair and scalp. Even after a few I had yet to experienced any dry scalp or itchiness. I’ve used the shampoo and conditioner for 3 washes and it produces the same results. I have been wearing my hair straight for the past 2 months and I haven’t used the Clear Ultra Shea to co-wash yet, but I can’t wait to try in the warmer months ahead.

I used the Therapy Ultra Shear Nourishing Scalp & Hair Oil sparingly on the scalp before I blow dried my hair. I tend to see more dry scalp after blow drying but I didn’t (I blow dry using a round brush in small sections). I didn’t use the scalp balm on my scalp, but I did use it on my hair after using my flat iron and wrapping my hair for the night. I’ll show you the final results in a video soon.

I also rock my hair natural, well partially, I stay coloring my head but I have never relaxed (permed) my hair. That being said I have tried every single conditioner in a beauty supply store. It doesn’t matter what shampoo I use, could be soap and i’m good, but conditioner is another story. My hair sucks it up faster than Super Head…well you get what I mean.

So ok i’ll give this a try and get back to you

Def try! Can’t beat trying it at the price point.
