MARLEY is about the life of reggae legend Bob Marley. The biopic, directed by Kevin Macdonald, has been in the works for a long time and finally came to fruition. The documentary style film debuted at the Berlin Film Festival last week and will open in select theaters in the U.S. April 20. MARLEY is a compilation of old interviews, commentary from musical friends and family and of course snippets of his performances. I’m sure New York will be one of the locations, definitely looking forward to seeing it. If you don’t get to see in the theaters VH1 acquired the television rights according to the LA Times Blog.
