Africa Fashion Week New York 2011 released a few photos from their photo campaign, shot by Avaloni Studios featuring clothes from designers showing at AFWNY, make-up by AFWNY head makeup artist Renarda Joy, hair styling by Kathy Clark Lewis and fashion styling by AFWNY executive stylist Tori Famuyiwa.
“This new campaign is completely different from what we have ever done. We pushed the boundaries and are now offering images that transcend race, culture or language. We are giving the audience fashion at its purest form,” said Adiat Disu, director of AFWNY.

Mikelah is a Caribbean Culture expert, curating the bridge between the Caribbean and its diaspora. A CUNY Baruch College graduate with a BBA in Marketing. With previous experience with Caribbean lifestyle brands such as VP Records, Tempo TV and JAMROCK Magazine. Currently serving as a digital marketing maven by day, while continuing to collaborate with Caribbean brands.
