Caribbean Inspired Gifts: Books

December 3, 2010 by Mikelah Leave a Comment

I don’t know anyone who’s tried Caribbean food and didn’t like it.Eat Caribbean by chef Virginia Burke would be a great way for a food lover to get acquainted with Caribbean cuisine.

The Caribbean has some of the best landscapes in the world! If you can’t get to Caribbean at a moment’s notice you can at least take a serene look at French-speaking islands of Martinique, Guadaloupe, Marie-Galante, and Saint Martin through the lens of photographer Bruce Bruk and author Michael Connors in their co-published book French Island Elegance.

Kids need Caribbean inspired books as well! I love the illustration of Caribbean Dream highlights Caribbean life from a child’s perspective, which makes this a bedtime story.
