The annual Victoria Secret Angels Fashion show airs on CBS on November 29 and will feature performances by Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Maroon 5.

Model Tyson Beckford was also in the audience.

Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne album debuted last week. I still haven’t heard the whole album, but I’m definitely rocking out to “Otis”. The new video features a chopped up Maybach which is being auctioned off. Proceeds will be donated towards The East African Drought Disaster. Watching this video made me question, who in Caribbean music do you think could do a “Watch the Throne” album?

Maybe I’m biased, but I love Kanye for how he pushes himself creatively. I know he’s cocky, but I think he’s a talented visionary. I don’t always get everything he does, nor do I like all of it, but his ability to freely express himself and not care about what people think makes him inspiring.

New tunes are rolling out like crazy! Here are a few new  Danchall and  Hip-Hop tunes from Konshens,  Busta Rhymes,  Kanye West and Pitbull.  

Singer Konshen delivers a mixtape entitled The Realest Mixtape presented by NYC DJ Kevin Crown.

Busta Rhymes  released this via his twitter, a new single feat. Gyptian & Mary J. Blige “Anything You Want”. It’s not phenomenal, but I think it will grow on me the more I listen to it.

Kanye West twitter rants are hilarious ! He’s even in talks of releasing a new song every week , guess he’s trying to catch up to Sizzla, Kartel and Beenie Man (we’ll see if they good songs everyweek) “Monster” is already on the radio and it features  Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj and Bon Iver (I had no idea who Bon Iver was)

Fashion fades, style is eternal.

Trends are not for everybody. When it comes to personal my personal style I wear what looks good on my body type, but there are just some trends that I don’t understand, nor will I ever try:

1.) Leggings with Holes – I’m not really sure what’s going on with these. They look like stockings with permanent runs. It reminds me of an old Caribbean saying “Ya socks begging bread” as in only bum’s beg bread and you look like a bum! I have yet to see anyone where them with style.

2.) Sneaker Heels – What’s with that! Sneakers are meant to be sneakers. Fly, comfortable kicks. This is just all wrong in so many ways!

3.) Shutter Shades – Commonly associated with Kanye West. Note to people who wear them “You’re not Kanye!” We know you can’t see through them so why do you have them on in the club, walking down the street and in the coffee shop (Yes. I’ve seen them everywhere!).

So rather than give a bland review of the VMA’s I think my personal highlights and commentary are a little more interesting. Here are my top five entertaining moments with my spin on things:

1.) MJ Tribute – Madonna’s speech was longer than the actual performance. Good speech though. Did anyone else expect Janet to do more? I know I did. The tribute was HOT all around, I especially love the dance segment with Janet imposed next to Michael in Scream. Classic!

2.) Kanye bum-rushes Taylor Swift – WHY, where was security? We all know –and love Kanye’s antics– but he went a little overboard last night. This episode was entertaining to say the least, but Taylor Swift did not know how to react to his outbreak

3.) Lil Mama jumping on stage with Jay-Z and Alicia Keys – WTF! Again, where was security. Maybe now they’ll take her ass off of ABDC and put a real judge, with opinions that make sense.

4.) Pink’s Acrobatics – I really like her performance, although it brought back circus memories, but that was hard to do and I respect her for it.

5.) Lady Gaga – I just don’t know about this girl. I like her music — I even liked her performance — but her “style” is questionable. I think she creates a “I’m different” persona for the paparazzi, we get it you’re different! I think she’s trying to do what Madonna did in the early 90’s, but Madonna seemed more effortless, Gaga is just over the top.

This is the final version of Kanye’s video for “Paranoid” with Rihanna as the leading lady (well the only lady, and a crazy one at that!) Not really a fan of the video, I’m sure it won’t be in heavy rotation and the driving scene reminds me of 1960’s flick Psycho. Nonetheless, here it is for your viewing pleasure.
