Is this just the year for assault or are there just more women calling the cops? According to Contact Music, singer Maxi Priest arrested was arrested for allegedly assaulting an ex-girlfriend.

The musician, who enjoyed hits with a cover of Cat Stevens’ Wild World, reportedly attacked a former lover after she caught him in a car with another woman.

Priest was taken into custody by cops in London over allegations he pushed his ex to the floor and ripped her clothes when she reportedly threatened to smash his vehicle with a brick.

He was bailed after spending a night in custody.

Wild World indeed!

Thanks to Miss Cocoa Luv (Check her out on WBMB  every thursday 7-9pm) The Smoking Gun broke the story that Akon has reportedly lying about his time in prison. The “Konvicted Felon” is more like fraud, a fossy, a B****CLAT IDIOT! Here’s an exerpt:

“Akon’s ad nauseum claims about his criminal career and resulting prison time have been, to an overwhelming extent, exaggerated, embellished, or wholly fabricated, an investigation by The Smoking Gun has revealed. Police, court, and corrections records reveal that the entertainer has created a fictionalized backstory that serves as the narrative anchor for his recorded tales of isolation, violence, woe, and regret. Akon has overdubbed his biography with the kind of grit and menace that he apparently believes music consumers desire from their hip-hop stars.

While the performer’s rap sheet does include a half-dozen arrests, Akon has only been convicted of one felony, for gun possession. That 1998 New Jersey case ended with a guilty plea, for which the singer was sentenced to three years probation. Another 1998 bust, this one in suburban Atlanta, has been seized upon by Akon and transformed into the big case that purportedly sent him to prison (thanks to his snitching cohorts) for three fight-filled years. In reality, Akon was arrested for possession of a single stolen BMW and held in the DeKalb County jail for several months before prosecutors dropped all charges against him.

So there was no conviction. There was no prison term between 1999 and 2002. And he was never “facing 75 years,” as the singer claimed in one videotaped interview.”

According ot OK! Magazine:Superstar singer Chris Brown performs in front of thousands of screaming fans without even breaking a sweat, but put the 18-year-old in front of girlfriend Rihanna’s relatives for a first-time meeting and he gets stage fright.

Rihanna, 19, took Chris home to Barbados last week to meet her family, including her two younger, protective brothers, and before he left, the R&B star told a pal he was worried what everyone would think of him.

“Rihanna is very close to her family,” the pal tells OK!. “But she knew they loved Chris as much as she does.”

That didn’t stop one of her brothers from giving the “Kiss Kiss” singer a hard time. “He told Chris that PDA was tacky and said he may be a little too short for his sister!” Still, the pal adds, “Chris loved seeing all the pictures in Rihanna’s family home of her winning Miss Combermere, [a local beauty pageant she won at 16], lounging on the beach and singing in local clubs. He cares about Rihanna. Things have started really heating up from friends to something more.”

Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez welcome twins! The babies were born early Friday in Long Island, N.Y. The girl was born at 12:12 a.m. and weighed 5 lbs. 7 oz., and the boy followed at 12:23 a.m., weighing 6 lbs.
